Sinupret® is a popular herbal supplement claimed to support healthy sinus and respiratory function. It is one of the most commonly prescribed products in Europe and is gaining popularity in the United States. Although the European versions of this medication are sold under different names (Sinupret Forte and Sinupret Drops), they contain the same active ingredients as the versions available in the United States (Sinupret Plus and Sinupret for Kids).
 
Sinupret Plus tablets contain several different active ingredients, including:
 
  • European elder 36 mg
  • Common sorrel 36 mg
  • Cowslip 36 mg
  • European vervain 36 mg
  • Gentian 12 mg.

Sinupret is claimed to support healthy sinus, respiratory, and immune function. It is commonly used for coughs, colds, sinus infections, and allergies. Studies in laboratory animals or cells suggest that the product has antibacterial and antiviral effects. It also appears to have anti-inflammatory activity and may help break down and thin mucous.
