There are no known drug interactions with acyclovir cream (Zovirax^® cream). Because only a small amount of the medication is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream, acyclovir cream is unlikely to interact with other medications that are taken by mouth. Studies have also suggested that it is not likely to interact with other ointments or creams applied to the skin.
